All Hassel & Teudt fittings are a combination of several brass parts that are solid and hand polished. There are therefore minimal natural shade differences in the surfaces of the various brass parts, which ensures an overall aesthetic impression of genuine polished brass and complete quality.
The brass material will patina when exposed to air, moisture and water. If you want everything to appear shiny, you can plaster with Brasso.
