Should I choose an electric or water heated towel rail?

It depends on your current installation.

Waterborne models: Connect to your existing central or district heating system. This is often the most economical solution in operation, but requires professional plumbing installation.

Electric models: Just require a power outlet. The advantage is that they can run independently of the heating season, so you also have dry towels in the summer when the central heating is off.

Combi models: The ultimate solution that uses water in the winter and electricity in the summer.

Can a heated towel rail heat the entire bathroom?

A towel warmer is primarily designed to dry towels and provide them with a comfortable warmth. Although the larger models give off a lot of heat, they work best as a supplement to underfloor heating or a radiator, especially in larger bathrooms. However, in smaller bathrooms, a powerful model can often keep the room warm.

How does a towel warmer help the indoor climate?

Consider how many people will be using the bathroom. For a family of four, we recommend a taller model with multiple crossbars so everyone can dry their bath towel at the same time. If you have limited wall space, our vertical "bar" models (e.g. from ArkiLife or Pulcher) are ideal, as they take up minimal space in width but are still highly efficient.

Can I install my new heated towel rail myself?

If it is an electric model with a plug, you are welcome to mount it on the wall yourself. However, if it requires permanent installation to the electrical grid or connection to the water system, the work must be carried out by an authorized electrician or plumber, respectively, to ensure that the warranty and insurance cover it.
