Hassel & Teudt has a long and rich history as one of Denmark's most prominent machine factories and manufacturers of metal goods. The company was founded in 1857 by JG Fridolin Hassel and Ludvig F. Teudt and was based in Copenhagen at Bredgade 43.

Over the years, Hassel & Teudt had become known for their production of a wide range of products. However, their HT Rustik lamp series from the 1960s is still one of their best-known products. The series was produced with 12 different models of hand-cast glass sconces.

Hassel & Teudt were also behind some of the decorative classic benches that citizens and visitors to Copenhagen can still enjoy today.
